The coffee making process, starting with production and finishing with roasting, is no less demanding. For this barrel aged coffee, we have blended the best of both worlds.
We use whiskey barrels from Tucson based distillers Whiskey Del Bac to age coffee from the Women producers of the ASPROCDEGUA cooperative in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. After their short rest in the barrel, we roast them to perfection to highlight intense flavors of whiskey with a candy sweetness. Cheers to all of the hard workers out there.
