THE ORIGIN STORY
José Roberto Deras is the owner of Finca Los Robles located in the Altopec-Metapán region of El Salvador. He started this farm in 2009 after receiving a donation of Pacas and Pacamara seeds from the Cayahuanca project.
The Pacamara varietal is a cross between the varietals Pacas and Maragogype. It is up to double the size of standard coffee beans and is known as a bold, high-complexity specialty Arabica varietal.
Chalatenango, the "valley of water and sand", is El Salvador's coolest and northern-most region. Historically, the country's top coffees have come from western El Salvador.
This Pacamara microlot brings large seeds, sweetness and structure.
